Road to stardom

Road to stardom

I see you up there
Being celebrated for yet another success
You’re the cover of a nation’s magazine
“That could have been me”
I often say to myself

I see you on my TV screen
At the center of earth’s cameras
To the world; a great view
“That could have been me”
I said to myself again

You’re the peak of my dreams
The exact person I want to be
It seemed like a step away
Could I trade my boots
For a day in your shoes

Soon after I later learnt
How those shoes of yours were earned
Lacing them was hard work
Trusting God as your only source
You strived to be all I wish to be

Of this sincere truth I dearly say
Wishes may rain
But only diligence makes a sea
And now that I know how it works
I’ll stop my idle wishes and get to work

MR DOCTOR

AKONI ; THE BRAVE ONE

AKONI THE BRAVE ONE

AKONI THE BRAVE ONE

Maybe he wasn’t trained with bow and arrow
And somehow the war of life caught him in the narrow
He is *brave*
So he never thought of hiding in his shadow
The war of life he faced…
In his attempt, he was struck
But never was he destroyed

*AKONI*

The one whom his supposed warriors left behind
Little did they know that his speed is HIGH
At a Spot, fire came from nowhere
Akoni courageous he gave no care
He passed through it and came out shining…
One by One he crossed them out
The Darts that faced him with doubt
Just that they thought he his not fitted
But *AKONI* can never be defeated

NOT MY WISH

The scar you brought
The hurt you left
Forcefully have you made it happen
Against my wish…
The memory of the pains couldn’t fade away…
And my Pride you took away

LET GO

LET GO

LET GO

Don’t blame her too much
Her before is enough to bring her such
The fear of her now and later after that awful touch

Once upon a time, there was a Twelfth
A day she thought her dream will melt
Maybe that was her last chance, She felt
To the feet of defeat
All of her dreams she left

Tick tock: The clock sounded
Longhand on Twelve
Shorthand on Five
That was the exact time it clocked
Such a time she wouldn’t have wanted
A time she concluded her pursuit has been blocked

There came another Twelfth appearing to her like the same
My dream melted a long Twelfth ago, she said
So there is no reason to go for it anymore

Tick tock: Another 5 O’clock
That was the time my pursuit was blocked
A belief she never ignored

Only if she knows
That her past Twelfth is gone and never coming back
That her former 5 O’clock has ended it’s duty
Only if she has an idea
That there was once a lot of Twelfth before the experience of her own former Twelfth

Maybe if someone tells her
That any Twelfth that comes her way henceforth is now a new one
A new Twelfth she needs to do something new with

Maybe if her eyes will be open
To see every new 5 O’clock as an opportunity to open her blocked pursuit

Maybe: Just Maybe if she understands
That every Twelfth and 5 O’clock will surface over and over again in their own newness
